What is Lumière Candle?
Created by ESMÉ LABS, Lumière Candle combines the atmosphere of traditional candlelight with the functionality of a refillable oil candle.
The design consists of a transparent glass vessel, three reusable steel wicks with fiberglass cores and Lumière Candle Oil. Unlike a conventional candle, the vessel and wicks are not consumed as the candle burns. The oil is the only component that needs to be replenished.

How does Lumière Candle work?
The principle behind Lumière Candle is surprisingly simple and is based on the same fundamental technology used in oil lamps.
Lumière Candle Oil is poured directly into the glass vessel. The steel wicks are then placed into the oil and left for 30 minutes before the first lighting.
Inside each steel wick is a fiberglass core. The fiberglass absorbs the oil and carries it upward toward the tip, where the fuel creates the flame.
Once lit, the three steel wicks create Lumière's signature candlelight while the transparent vessel leaves the entire design visible.
And when you are finished, there is no special extinguishing process – simply blow out the flames.
